BEIJING (June 7, 2024) – Nissan sales in China reached 64,233* units in May.
The sales volume of Dongfeng Nissan (including the Nissan, Venucia and INFINITI brands) reached 61,725 units in May. The LCV business represented by Zhengzhou Nissan (ZNA) sold 2,508 units in May.
Year to date, Nissan has sold 286,445 units in China.
Shohei Yamazaki, Chairperson of the Management Committee for China and President of Dongfeng Motor Ltd. (DFL), said: “In the first five months of 2024, the market conditions remained complicated, and the NEV penetration rate has been exceeded 50%**. To better adapt to the ever-changing market and consumer demands, Nissan has been stepping up its smart and electric transformation in the Chinese market. We will honor our commitment to Chinese consumers by continuously delivering value with a more balanced product portfolio that caters to diverse customer needs.
“In May, the Nissan Sylphy family contributed strong sales. The Nissan Altima and SUV lineup also were strong performers. These models will help us satisfy the diversified needs of Chinese customers,” Yamazaki added.
