BEIJING (September 7, 2023) – Nissan’s sales in China reached 64,905 units in August.
The sales volume of Dongfeng Nissan (including the Nissan, Venucia, and INFINITI brands) reached 61,967 units in August 2023. The Nissan, Venucia and INFINITI brands saw month-on-month growth of 9.7%, 7.8%, and 31.8%, respectively. The LCV business represented by Zhengzhou Nissan (ZNA) sold 2,938 units in August.
Nissan in China sold 482,921 units in the last eight months.
Shohei Yamazaki, executive committee member and senior vice president of Nissan, chairman of the Management Committee for China and president of Dongfeng Motor Ltd. (DFL) said: “In a constantly changing business environment in China, we are ensuring sustainable growth, and also accelerating the introduction of new products to the market.”
Following the successful launch of the Nissan Ariya500 and Venucia V-online DDi PHEV in July, “the launch of the all new Nissan Qashqai in August will reinforce our SUV lineup to meet the diversified needs of Chinese customers,” Yamazaki added. The accumulated sales of Nissan’s award-winning Qashqai reached over 1.7 million units in the past 15 years in China.
