BEIJING (February 6, 2023) – Nissan’s passenger vehicle and light commercial vehicle sales in China declined 64.4% in January 2023 over the same period last year to 47,521units, as the holiday break for the New Year and traditional Chinese New Year fell into the same month.
The sales volume of Nissan’s passenger vehicle business in China for Dongfeng Nissan (including Nissan, Venucia and INFINITI brands) reached 45,623 units in January.
Nissan’s LCV business (now mainly Zhengzhou Nissan) sold 1,898 units in January.

Nissan reports retail sales for PV and wholesale sales for LCV
Shohei Yamazaki, senior vice president of Nissan, chairman of the Management Committee for China and president of Dongfeng Motor Ltd. (DFL), expressed his holiday greetings to partners, employees, and customers, and appreciated their support in 2022, expecting continued prosperity and win-win with all stakeholders in 2023.
“Despite all the challenges and uncertainties ahead, we are poised to recover our production and sales to address the diverse needs of Chinese customers as the pandemic situation continues to improve,” he said.
