BEIJING (November 4, 2022) – Nissan in China sold 88,868 units in October*, including Nissan + Venucia + INFINITI brands and Zhengzhou Nissan (ZNA), a 11.5% decline year on year.
Nissan’s PV and LCV sales (incl. DFAC sales from Jan.-Sep. and ZNA) in China reached 926,732 vehicles from January to October of the year, a 17.3% decline year on year, resulting from continued external headwinds, including industrywide parts and chip shortages, and pandemic disruptions.

Nissan reports retail sales for PV and wholesale sales for LCV
Shohei Yamazaki, senior vice president of Nissan, chairman of the Management Committee for China and president of Dongfeng Motor Ltd. (DFL), said company sales continue to be impacted by prolonged headwinds including the pandemic situation in key Chinese cities, parts supply across passenger and light commercial vehicle sectors, and other issues.
“We are excited to see the initial feedback from Chinese customers over our iconic electric SUV – the Nissan Ariya - as well as the all-new Infiniti QX55, as we ramp up production and delivery to awaiting customers,” he said. “We are equally excited to see the performance of Venucia EVs as an important contributor to our overall electrification strategy.”

? The sales volume of Dongfeng Nissan (including Nissan, Venucia and INFINITI brands) in October reached 86,065 units, a 6% increase month on month. The sales volume of the Nissan brand reached 75,226 units in October, a 7% increase month on month. The Venucia brand sold 10,418 vehicles, a 2.7% increase month on month and 4.0% increase year on year.
? Dongfeng Nissan sold 790,042 vehicles in the first 10 months of the year. Nissan sold 701,274 units, while Venucia sold 82,891 units, an increase of 36.1% year on year.

? LCV business (DFAC Jan.-Sep.+ ZNA) sold 136,690 units from January to October.

? Dongfeng Nissan’s performance in October was driven by its sedan and SUV series across the Nissan, Venucia, and INFINITI brands.
? As for Nissan Sedans, Altima sold 12,068 units in October, and 131,201 units year to date, an increase of 3% year on year. The SYLPHY series sold 40,504 units in October with a 12.7% increase month on month, and 366,527 units year to date.
? As for SUVs, sales of the SUV series (incl. Nissan, Venucia and INFINITIbrands) reached 25,076 units in October and 221,130 units year to date. Nissan QASHQAI sold 14,930 units in October, a 12.9% increase year on year and 132,275 units year to date.
? Venucia’s October sales were boosted mainly by the Venucia V-online (3,467 vehicles), and D60 series (6,390 vehicles). The Venucia D60EV sold 5,833 units, a 136% increase year on year. The electrified product line (D60EV and T60EV) sold a total of 5,898 vehicles.
? INFINITI’s October sales were driven mainly by the QX50, Q50L, and all-new QX60 and QX55.
? Zhengzhou Nissan’s October sales continued to be driven by its pickup and SUV businesses, including Nissan Navara and the Dongfeng Rich-brand pickup series (1,980).
